To Vote or Not to Vote

There’s an interesting discussion going on over at Marko’s blog on whether or not voting is a moral, civic obligation. Check it out here.

  1. I feel like it is the same old story over and over again from both sides. I look back over my lifetime and the only thing that really ever changes is who is calling the shots. So this time around I don’t feel as though I have been given anything different than years past.

  2. To a certain degree, I feel your pain, Scotty. But I also still firmly believe there are real differences between these candidates and two distinct directions we can go. I don’t think it’s wise to see either of these candidates as the solution to all of our problems, but there must be one who can more fully represent you and the issues you care about.

Voting for someone doesn’t mean you agree with everything they stand for. But that’s compromise, which is inevitable in a democracy!
